PLATTSBURGH STATE GOSPEL CHOIR will host GOSPELFEST 2018 featuring “Voices of Victory from SUNY Potsdam” at 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m., SATURDAY, APRIL 28th, at Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, 55 Beekman St., Plattsburgh, New York. The concert will feature Contemporary Gospel, Traditional Gospel, Negro Spirituals and inspirational ballads sung by the SUNY Plattsburgh Gospel Choir.
The SUNY Plattsburgh Gospel choir will perform works by Mississippi Mass, Beyonce, Mary/Mary, Vincent Bohanan, Raymon Wise, James Cleveland and Yolanda Adams. The SUNY Plattsburgh Gospel Choir Praise Dancers and Praise Team will also perform.
The concert will be hosted by gospel choir alumnus, Jessica Santos (class of 2012) of New York, NY. Additionally gospel choir alumni, Joy Che and Terri-Ann Gordon will also join the choir as they lead “When God’s Children Get together” and “Rain Down”. Sophomore student, Michael Hudlin from Trinidad & Tobago, will direct his arrangement of “Sayamanda” a calypso song to get your inner rhythm going. New soloists like freshmen Dominique Burke and Ciarah Richond will grace the stage. But not to be left out will be veterans soloist, Barbara Criss and senior Zuwena James. This concert will feature an all SUNY Plattsburgh Student/Staff Band crew lead by sophomore Nelson Moore.
