Radios and Rattles – Cravings!

…or lack there of.     

Welcome to the BLOG!!! Many of  you have been asking since the big announcement of my first child due in October so many wonderful questions, and one of my favs is ‘what are you craving?’.

Nothing. NOTHING!

At least nothing wacky and bizarre. I’ve certainly not asked my husband to make a road trip for ice and pickles at 1am. It’s been more of a food ‘pickiness’ at the point.

Pre-preggers I was all about the lean protein, low carbs….give me some mixed salad greens, avocado, raspberry vinaigrette and I was a happy camper. Now? Hate it. My doctor has honestly tried desperately to get me to eat MORE veggies but the last full salad I sat down to eat, I choked down every bite (which tasted like dirt to me) and withing a few hours I felt terrible. As in, I just ate fast food tacos from a truck stop….terrible.

As desperately as I’ve tried, large amounts of veggies just aren’t happening.  I tried other things but seems like food that really isn’t good for me (cheeseburgers and fries) are the only things at appeal to me, unfortunately!

IT GETS WORSE…

Today, I felt like eating (which is rare….lately it hasn’t been a ‘OMG I NEED TO EAT NOW’ type hungry more of a ‘oh, it’s 1p….I should probably eat.) I was ‘craving’ chicken tenders and fries. I purchased and proceeded to eat said chicken tenders and fries. A few bites in….done.

Everyone I’ve talked to has said whatever I’m craving/eating now is what she’ll mostly likely want to eat all the time. Sure….she’ll probably want ‘chicken tenders and fries’ but chances are it won’t be THAT kind. I’m afraid I’m incubating a tiny picky eater.

I’m doomed.
