How is Vermont Responding to the Challenges of Racism and Health?

February 9, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In May 2021, the Vermont Legislature pronounced racism a public health emergency. Professional societies and community groups followed suit. This virtual panel discussion led by moderator Tom McKone, will focus on what Vermont institutions are doing to identify and eradicate racism.
Panelists include Anna T. Noonan, President and CEO, Central Vermont Medical Center, Monika Ganguly-Kiefner, Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Equity Specialist, VT Department of Health, and Kheya Ganguly, Director of Trauma Prevention and Resiliency Development, VT Department of Mental Health.
Panelists will share insights on whether the declaration has driven changes to policies, laws, and resource allocation in the goal to advance racial equity and eliminate race-based health disparities and systemic inequities.
Hosted via Zoom, attendance is free. Guests need to register at www.kellogghubbard.org/adult-programs. Questions must be submitted prior to the event to msinger@kellogghubbard.org.
