To this end\, The Essex Fire Fighter’s Association has organized a Blood Drive\, Food Drive and Angel Flight NorthEast Fundraiser all in honor of their Fire Girl Addi.\nEFD first met Addi when filling her pool granted by Make-A-Wish Vermont. Since then she has been our biggest fan\, and we have paraded down her street\, hosted dinners at our station and made her an honorary member with her own personalized shirt.

DESCRIPTION:Modern Times Theater is bringing its inimitable and wildly popular SATURDAY STOREFRONT TRILOGY to downtown St. Johnsbury for the first three weekends of March. For the sixth year\, an empty storefront will be converted into a pop up theater\, featuring an epic Punch and Judy puppet melodrama in three parts. It’s Saturday morning cartoons\, LIVE!\nEach weekend features a new installment of “The Perils of Mr. Punch”\, chronicling the troubles and travails of puppetry’s first couple- Punch and Judy. These shows feature brand new puppets and characters\, as well as classic puppetry gags and tricks. The audience is invited to write letters to Mr. Punch\, which will inform the creation of the next episode. Each week includes raffle prizes\, delicious refreshments\, live music\, and a hilarious all-ages show. The atmosphere is lively and friendly\, with pre-show music from a collection of vintage 78 rpm records\, played on a hand-cranked gramophone (audience participation required). Both children and adults leave with faces and bellies sore from laughing.\nModern Times Theater is working in collaboration with area property owners and Catamount Arts to bring accessible high quality theater to families in downtown St. Johnsbury. This year’s pop-up theater is at 452 Railroad Street. Shows will be the first three Saturdays of the month: March 7\, 14\, 21 at 11am and 2pm. Admission is $8 ($10 day of show) per person.
