apple-nachos

Apple picking season! I pick more apples then I need! Finding the perfect apple is like finding gem, so I pick them all until I can’t carry the heavy bag of apples.  So I don’t waste any of these delicious Vermont candy – I find as many recipes as I can to enjoy the apples! The name alone “Apple NACHOS” grabbed my attention and I’m sure you can vary it.  I would LOVE to hear how you changed it up!!

To use this method to prevent apples from turning brown, create a water bath for your apple slices with a ratio of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to 1 cup of water. Soak the apple slices for 3 to 5 minutes, then drain and rinse them. This simple step should keep your apples from browning for several hours.
