Recording Academy Pres Says Women Need To “Step Up,”
A lot of fans are still upset that of the GRAMMY awards handed out during Sunday night’s telecast, only one, Best New Artist, went to a woman, Alessia Cara. Well, Recording Academy president Neil Portnow was asked about what people are dubbing #GrammySoMale, and he seemed to put some of the blame on women, suggesting they need to “step up” to win awards.
