Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Dorset Park, South Burlington

We're ready to make strides!

This years' Chittenden County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is Sunday, October 19th, at Dorset Park!

One out of every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life, and one out of every two of those women will look to the American Cancer Society for help. By participating in this walk, and the events leading up to the event, you'll bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer, and their families.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a noncompetitive 5-mile walk (with a 1-mile option) open to all. We encourage students, families and friends, school groups, companies, and organizations to form teams. Many of our walkers have faced breast cancer. Some are newly diagnosed, some are still in treatment, many are years beyond their diagnosis. Others have lost loved ones to the disease while others have no personal connection but want to help ensure that progress against the disease continues.
In addition to walkers, we need volunteers to help before the event and day of the event, and sponsors to underwrite expenses and provide in-kind services.
